António Madeira

About António Madeira
History has taught us that the Dão belongs to those places that Man has long recognized as being exceptional for the production of great wines. Although it has enormous potential for the production of red and white wines, it is a region that keeps on staying away from the limelight.
It is also a region that has been destroying its heritage of old vineyards, native grape varieties, almost forgotten, vineyards that disappear with their owners.
António Madeira, Portuguese Luso-descendant, has its roots in the foothills of the Serra da Estrela. In these highlands, António believes that it is the heart of Dão, the area with the highest potential for retaining wines, the area where wines are finer, fresher, austere and mineral.
