About Vertente

The Vertente is an appealing wine, in the way of elegance and complexity, marrying the fruit and concentration of Douro wines with the freshness and elegance of Niepoort wines. The grapes come from Quinta de Nápoles, they came 20 years ago in the Tedo valley, and old vineyards near Pinhão.

In the mouth it is balanced, with great freshness; very appealing, with very fine and elegant fruit, soft tannins, with very persistent and intense finishing. It is a fresh, very mineral and expressive wine, loaded ruby coloured and notes of red fruits. The Shed combines power and elegance, which contributes to a good potential for aging.
