About Gonçalves Faria Tinto

António Maria Gonçalves Faria was one of the mythical producers of the Bairrada of the 1990s. Wines such as Tonel 5 1990 or Reserva 1991 will be engraved forever in the history of Bairrada. For Dirk Niepoort - who has become the distributor of these wines - being able to work these magnificent vines is a huge privilege. Year after year, we will try to produce timeless wines, deep and with character, honouring the late António Maria Gonçalves Faria and his son João Pedro, who is now responsible for working on the vineyards.
