Porto Ruby

About Porto Ruby
In Niepoort, we
consider that the colour of this wine should be inspired by the ruby precious
stone. Ruby Niepoort ages an average of three years. The grapes for Ruby
Niepoort come from old, low-yielding vineyards in the Cima Corgo region of the
Douro Valley. It grows in large wooden barrels in the cellars of Niepoort, in
Vila Nova de Gaia. Ruby Niepoort is fresh, young and fruity, with cherry and
other red fruit aromas. An expressive port full of character, Ruby can be kept for
several years, although aging does not improve the wine. It has no deposit and
does not need to be decanted. Serve after a meal, alone or with buttery cheeses.
